Adult Learners
The Macks Center for Jewish Education actively promotes and supports life-long Jewish learning. A commitment to learning as an adult imparts a strong Jewish message and is a priceless investment. The realm of Jewish literacy is vast. Our history, texts and culture are expansive, vibrant and layered with meaning. Engaging in opportunities that grow understanding and appreciation provides a strong foundation for Jewish continuity and connectedness. CJE champions Baltimore’s participation in national and international Jewish learning initiatives, while also offering in-house opportunities that appeal to the diverse Jewish population of Charm City.
People of the Book Club
CJE’s People of the Book Club invites readers to enhance their Jewish literacy through the literary arts. Each selection is identified for its significant Jewish content – culturally infused, textually inspired or historically based – but coupled with light humor, compelling style and/or contemporary authorship. Ensuing discussions take on a unique facet as the book’s Jewish focus becomes a key conversation topic. Join us for a book club with a difference.
Meets three to four times per year.
